For the next two weeks, we are going to review all the concepts for the year in both math and reading. Below are some ways that you can reinforce these skills at home.
Reading: As we review all the concepts from this year, the homework will also reinforce the skills that we looked at each day. Another great resource, as always, is readworks.org. To work on more of the skills, print off a readworks article and have the students highlight EXACTLY where they found the answer for the questions if it is listed in the text. If the question in not in one spot, have them explain to you how they came up with the answer that they circled or wrote down.
Math: We are also reviewing all the concepts taught this year in math. To reinforce these skills, have students either play games for that concept or re-watch some of the instructional videos on the website. During class, we will also watch some of the videos but it would be a great review to have them watch them again.
Writing: We will continue to work on our research papers.
Social Studies: We are starting our unit of study about government. We are starting our discussion about the national government and then we will move to state and local government.
