Reading: We are just starting that biography unit of study. Students will be reading two different biographies. One for an independent report and another in a small group setting. We will also be investigating other individuals through out the unit. Ask your student about the people they are studying.
Math: We started Fractions! YAY! There are lots of resources and links provided in both tabs. (student and parent resources). We will start basic but get increasingly harder as the unit progresses.
Writing: Students are finishing up their autobiographies this week. They will then begin reading an independent biography and taking notes. We will then work to consolidate those notes to make a finished informational product about the person.
Social Studies: We are starting our unit on Native Americans. We will be learning about all the different regions they lived in. As well as, how they live now. If you have any Native American artifacts, please feel free to send them in for students to share with the class.
